She could op...McArdle loved the Dan Rather scandal. She could opine at length about his bias and stupidity while telling herself that she's a careful journalist who's held to high standards. The helicopter parenting thing is another bit of conservative self-congratulations. In those and many other cases she's doing little more than cheerleading for her side. The book must have been incredibly thin for an editor to let in so much extraneous material.<br /><br />Did you see the New York Times review of the book? It was not positive.
